Job Description
Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. is a renowned fast-casual restaurant chain committed to cultivating a better world through responsibly sourced, classically cooked, and wholesome real food. Founded with a vision to revolutionize the fast-food experience, Chipotle stands apart by focusing on fresh ingredients without artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. The company operates numerous restaurants across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, maintaining a unique distinction as a restaurant company of its size that owns and operates all its locations across North America and Europe. Chipotle’s passionate team prioritizes delivering exceptional guest experiences, and the brand is widely recognized as a leader and innovator in the food industry, pioneering sustainable business practices and advancements in digital and technology sectors.
As a Kitchen Leader at Chipotle, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the preparation of delicious, high-quality food while upholding the brand's Food With Integrity philosophy. This full-time position offers a competitive base pay ranging from $17.65 to $19.64 per hour, complemented with digital tips and a comprehensive benefits package. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience cooking, grilling, and sautéing various ingredients, guaranteeing that every item served meets Chipotle’s standards for taste and safety. Beyond food preparation, the Kitchen Leader is responsible for managing inventory, minimizing waste, and maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen environment. This leadership position also involves training and developing crew members, empowering them to evolve into future Kitchen Leaders themselves.
You will be a key figure in fostering effective communication between back-of-house and front-of-house teams, promoting a cohesive and motivated work atmosphere. As a role model on the team, you are expected to lead by example—being proactive, energy-driven, and always ready to assist coworkers. Moreover, ensuring kitchen equipment is well-maintained and repaired promptly is part of your responsibilities, helping to uphold safety standards and efficiency. This position demands multitasking on your feet, balancing the dual priorities of productivity and team collaboration to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
At Chipotle, career growth is strongly encouraged, with 80% of managers having started their journey as crew members. The company also offers enticing perks including 100% tuition assistance for select degrees (up to $5,250 per year), free meals during shifts, medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, holiday closures, and competitive compensation. As a values-driven organization, Chipotle fosters an inclusive workplace that respects diversity and encourages all qualified applicants, regardless of personal characteristics, to apply. Accessibility accommodations also align with the Americans with Disabilities Act, ensuring equitable hiring processes.
