Job Description
Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE: CMG) is a renowned fast-casual restaurant chain focused on cultivating a better world through responsibly sourced ingredients and real, classically cooked food without artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. With locations across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, Chipotle stands out as the only restaurant company of its size that owns and operates all its restaurants in North America and Europe. Committed to sustainability, innovation, and excellent guest experiences, Chipotle continues to lead the food industry by embracing digital technologies, sustainable business practices, and a customer-centric approach. The company is driven by a purpose to make better food accessible to everyone and fosters a diverse and inclusive workplace where all employees have the opportunity to grow and thrive.
The Kitchen Leader role at Chipotle offers a unique opportunity to be part of a fast-growing, socially responsible company that prioritizes quality food, team collaboration, and personal development. As a Kitchen Leader, you will acquire skills in food preparation including grilling meats and sautéing vegetables, ensuring that every dish served meets Chipotle's high standards for quality and taste. This position requires you to oversee kitchen cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and inventory management, guaranteeing a safe and efficient working environment. Beyond technical responsibilities, a crucial part of the role is to mentor and train crew members, inspiring them to develop into future Kitchen Leaders. This leadership role involves fostering a positive team dynamic between front of house and back of house staff, promoting effective communication, and enhancing the overall customer experience.
Chipotle emphasizes a philosophy called Food With Integrity, which you will learn and articulate as part of your role, making sure that every ingredient used reflects the company’s commitment to sustainability and quality. While on shift, Kitchen Leaders keep busy by managing their stations, pitching in wherever needed, and ensuring all kitchen operations run smoothly. The job demands a high level of energy and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Compensation for this role ranges from $15.00 to $16.69 per hour, eligible for digital tips, with actual pay based on experience, skills, and education. The company provides a competitive benefits package, including tuition assistance, free meals, medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and holiday closures. Chipotle is proud to promote from within, with 80% of its managers having started as crew members, providing ample opportunities for career advancement. Join Chipotle as a Kitchen Leader and become part of a values-driven organization committed to making fast food better for people and the planet.
