Job Description

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE: CMG) is a dynamic leader in the fast-casual restaurant industry, well-known for its commitment to cultivating a better world through responsibly sourced, classically cooked, real food made with wholesome ingredients free from artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Originating in the United States and expanding its footprint globally with locations in Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, Chipotle distinguishes itself by owning and operating all its restaurants across North America and Europe — a unique practice for a company of its size. This organizational structure ensures stringent quality control, customer satisfaction, and a consistent mission-driven culture that revolves around changing the face of fast food.

By choosing to work at Chipotle, employees join a vibrant, people-first company that values innovation, sustainability, and digital advancement. Chipotle is passionate about fostering an inclusive workplace where every individual is respected and empowered to reach their full potential regardless of race, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, or veteran status. This commitment extends to offering reasonable accommodations to qualified applicants with disabilities throughout the hiring process.

The Kitchen Leader role at Chipotle is a vital position that directly supports the company’s mission to make better food accessible to everyone while ensuring operational excellence at each restaurant location. As a Kitchen Leader, you will be trained to prepare all aspects of Chipotle’s menu, including grilling meats, sautéing vegetables, and other cooking techniques that maintain the distinctive taste and quality Chipotle is celebrated for. Your commitment to food safety, quality control, and kitchen organization will be critical in delivering a superior customer experience.

In this position, you will play an essential leadership role by managing kitchen inventory, minimizing food waste, ensuring equipment maintenance, and upholding stringent cleanliness and sanitation standards. Moreover, as a Kitchen Leader, you are responsible for setting an example for Crew members by promoting teamwork, fostering a positive work environment, and actively training team members to become future leaders within the kitchen. This role requires constant engagement on the floor, multitasking to meet station goals, and stepping up to assist teammates whenever needed.

The employment type is full-time or part-time, with a competitive base pay ranging from $19.70 to $21.91 per hour, complemented by digital tips and a generous benefits package. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, tuition assistance covering up to 100% of select degrees or $5,250 per year, paid time off, holiday closures, free food, and opportunities for career advancement, with 80% of managers initially starting as Crew members.

Chipotle's dedication extends beyond food preparation; it is a company that actively embraces sustainability efforts and innovative technology to enhance both employee and customer experiences. Joining Chipotle as a Kitchen Leader offers an exciting career pathway for individuals eager to develop culinary skills, leadership abilities, and contribute meaningfully toward reshaping the fast-food landscape with integrity and purpose.
