Job Description

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. is a renowned fast-casual restaurant chain dedicated to revolutionizing the fast-food experience with a strong commitment to responsible sourcing and sustainable food practices. Established with a vision to serve classically cooked, real food made from wholesome ingredients without artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives, Chipotle has become an industry leader known for its innovative approach and dedication to quality. With locations across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, Chipotle owns and operates all its restaurants across North America and Europe, emphasizing consistency, quality control, and a superior customer experience.

Chipotle's mission goes beyond serving food; it focuses on cultivating a better world by supporting sustainable farming and advocating for food accessibility for everyone. The company places a significant emphasis on employee growth and community engagement, ensuring that every team member is not just a worker but part of a larger cause to improve the future of food. Chipotle is also committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, fostering a respectful and supportive workplace environment for all employees regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, veteran status, or other protected characteristics.

The role of Kitchen Leader at Chipotle is a pivotal position that blends culinary skills with leadership and operational management. This is an hourly role focused on ensuring that food preparation meets Chipotle’s high standards for quality, safety, and taste. Kitchen Leaders are responsible for cooking and prepping food—grilling meats, sautéing vegetables, and ensuring that every meal served is delicious and meets the company's Food With Integrity philosophy. They also maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, oversee food inventory and equipment maintenance, and monitor food safety guidelines rigorously.

Additionally, Kitchen Leaders act as mentors and trainers to other crew members, helping develop future leaders within the team. They are role models who reinforce teamwork, promote a positive working atmosphere, and facilitate excellent customer service. This position requires someone who is proactive, engaged, and dedicated to both the culinary craft and leadership responsibilities. Kitchen Leaders at Chipotle are constantly on their feet, managing their stations efficiently, solving problems as they arise, and contributing to a smooth and enjoyable dining experience for customers.

This job offers more than just culinary work; it presents opportunities for personal and professional growth with a company that values education and development. Chipotle provides benefits like tuition assistance, competitive compensation, and paid time off, making it an attractive place for those looking to grow their career in the foodservice industry. If you are passionate about good food, strong leadership, and making a positive impact within a dynamic and socially responsible company, the Kitchen Leader role at Chipotle offers a unique and rewarding opportunity.
