The role of Kitchen Leader at Chipotle is pivotal in ensuring that the restaurant maintains the highest standards of food quality, safety, and customer service. This is a hands-on position where you will learn to master culinary skills such as grilling meats, sautéing vegetables, and preparing delicious food to order following Chipotle’s kitchen procedures. As a Kitchen Leader, you will not only be responsible for making sure the food is consistently excellent, but you will also contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment. This role extends beyond food preparation to include inventory management, food waste monitoring, and ensuring all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and operational. In addition, as a respected team member, you will help develop other crew members, guiding them to become future Kitchen Leaders. This fosters a culture of growth, teamwork, and leadership development within the restaurant. The Kitchen Leader models professionalism and dedication, actively supporting both back-of-house and front-of-house crew, improving communication and customer service through effective collaboration. This role requires someone who is always engaged, proactive in tackling necessary tasks, and committed to achieving the station's goals while promoting a positive team dynamic.

Job Duties
- Ensuring food quality by cooking and prepping food to order, and following kitchen procedures
- Monitoring food waste and inventory levels, and resolving food quality issues
- Supporting a strong team dynamic between back of house Crew and front of house Crew
- Developing Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders
- Communicating with Crew members and customers effectively in order to ensure great customer service and throughput
- Ensuring the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized
- Monitoring kitchen equipment and ensuring it is kept in good repair
- making sure malfunctioning equipment is repaired as quickly as possible
- Ensuring that the kitchen itself and all Crew members meet the necessary guidelines to ensure there are no injuries or accidents
- Filling out Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and Inventory Rotation (FIFO)
