The role of Kitchen Leader at Chipotle offers an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of changing the fast-food experience. As a Kitchen Leader, you will learn essential culinary skills including preparing great food, grilling meats, and sautéing vegetables to ensure that every dish meets Chipotle's high standards of quality and taste. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and proper stocking of the kitchen, as well as ensuring that all kitchen equipment is well-maintained and in good working condition. The Kitchen Leader acts as a role model to crew members, guiding and training them to become future leaders, fostering teamwork, and ensuring a positive and productive kitchen environment. This position requires being proactive in accomplishing station goals and supporting teammates by pitching in wherever needed during busy shifts. The Kitchen Leader's commitment to food safety, quality control, and operational excellence directly contributes to creating an exceptional customer experience and upholding Chipotle's Food With Integrity philosophy. This is a full-time role with competitive compensation starting at an hourly base pay range of $16.65 to $18.53, along with eligibility for digital tips and a comprehensive benefits package. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • ensuring food quality by cooking and prepping food to order and following kitchen procedures
  • monitoring food waste and inventory levels and resolving food quality issues
  • supporting a strong team dynamic between back of house crew and front of house crew
  • developing crew members to be future kitchen leaders
  • communicating with crew members and customers effectively to ensure great customer service and throughput
  • ensuring the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized
  • monitoring kitchen equipment and ensuring it is kept in good repair and making sure malfunctioning equipment is repaired as quickly as possible
  • ensuring that the kitchen itself and all crew members meet necessary guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents
  • filling out material safety data sheets (MSDS) and inventory rotation (FIFO)
