Job Description

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE: CMG) is a leading fast-casual restaurant chain that is revolutionizing the fast-food industry by focusing on responsibly sourced, classically cooked, real food made with wholesome ingredients without artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. With its strong presence across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, Chipotle is unique in its commitment to ownership and operation of all its restaurants in North America and Europe. The company is deeply committed to sustainability, digital innovation, technology, and sustainable business practices, making it a pioneer in reshaping the way fast food is prepared and delivered globally. Chipotle’s mission to cultivate a better world is reflected not only in the food it serves but also in its dedication to creating a diverse and inclusive work culture that values equity and celebrates inclusion.

As a Kitchen Leader at Chipotle, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of the food served daily. This position involves learning how to prepare great food, including grilling meats and sautéing vegetables, ensuring every dish is delicious and meets Chipotle’s high standards. The Kitchen Leader is accountable for maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen, and for making sure kitchen equipment is properly maintained and in good condition. In addition to hands-on food preparation, Kitchen Leaders are responsible for ordering food supplies and training Crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders. This role embodies leadership, teamwork, and commitment to excellence, as Kitchen Leaders act as role models to motivate and support their team.

Chipotle values teamwork and the customer experience, and as a Kitchen Leader, you will be busy throughout your shift, meeting goals, addressing tasks proactively, and helping teammates to create a positive and efficient work environment. This opportunity offers comprehensive training and personal development, empowering you to build leadership skills, advance your career, and contribute meaningfully to the company’s culture and success. Chipotle offers competitive compensation, opportunities for advancement—with 80% of managers having started as Crew members—and an attractive benefits package including tuition assistance, free food, medical, dental, and vision insurance, digital tips, paid time off, and holiday closures.

Working at Chipotle means joining a company that is not only passionate about serving real, high-quality food but also about fostering a culture that champions diversity and equality. Chipotle is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to accommodating individuals with disabilities during the hiring process. If you are looking for a dynamic role where you can grow your skills, lead a team, and be part of a company making a positive impact on the future of food and farming, the Kitchen Leader position at Chipotle is an excellent opportunity to start or grow your career.
