Job Description

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. is a leading fast-casual restaurant brand known for its commitment to serving responsibly sourced, classically cooked real food made from wholesome ingredients without artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Founded with the vision to cultivate a better world, Chipotle distinguishes itself by doing things differently both inside and outside of its restaurants. With locations across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, Chipotle is unique in that it owns and operates all its restaurants across North America and Europe, ensuring consistent quality and customer experience. As a company, Chipotle prioritizes not only providing great food but also advancing sustainable business practices, championing digital innovation, and fostering a culture deeply committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Chipotle’s mission goes beyond food to impact the future of farming, food accessibility, and community support.

The Kitchen Leader position at Chipotle offers an exciting opportunity to engage in one of the most critical roles in the restaurant’s operation. This role is designed for individuals passionate about food quality, leadership, and team development. Kitchen Leaders are responsible for preparing and cooking food to meet Chipotle’s high standards, ensuring that every customer enjoys delicious meals made with care and precision. The role involves grilling meats, sautéing vegetables, prepping food, and maintaining the kitchen's cleanliness and organizational standards. Beyond food preparation, Kitchen Leaders play a crucial role in inventory management, monitoring food waste, and ensuring all kitchen equipment is properly maintained to uphold safety and quality standards.

As leaders within the kitchen environment, these individuals also serve as role models, training and mentoring crew members to help them develop the skills required to become future leaders themselves. This fosters a strong team dynamic that bridges front-of-house and back-of-house operations, promoting collaboration and a seamless customer experience. Kitchen Leaders dynamically manage their time, multitasking to meet station goals while remaining attentive to any immediate needs on the floor. This role requires a proactive leader who pitches in to assist teammates and ensures the kitchen operates smoothly and safely.

Chipotle offers this position as a full-time employment opportunity with competitive compensation and benefits. The company invests heavily in employee development, offering tuition assistance programs that can cover 100% of select degrees or up to $5,250 per year, as well as providing free food to employees during shifts. Additional benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, digital tips, paid time off, holiday closures, and meaningful career advancement opportunities, with 80% of managers having started out as crew members. Chipotle’s inclusive culture values diversity at all levels and encourages applications from all qualified individuals. The company is committed to accommodating applicants with disabilities, ensuring everyone has equal opportunity to participate in the hiring process.
