Job Description

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE: CMG) is a globally recognized leader in the fast-casual dining industry, committed to cultivating a better world through its mission to serve responsibly sourced, classically cooked, real food made with wholesome ingredients and free from artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Founded with a vision to transform the typical fast-food experience, Chipotle has rapidly established itself as a brand that values quality, sustainability, and exceptional customer service. Operating restaurants across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, Chipotle distinguishes itself as the only restaurant company of its size that owns and operates all its locations in North America and Europe. With a passionate workforce dedicated to providing an outstanding guest experience, Chipotle continues to be an innovator in digital technology, customer engagement, and sustainable business practices.

The role of Kitchen Leader at Chipotle offers a dynamic opportunity to be at the heart of food preparation and quality assurance within the restaurant. As a Kitchen Leader, you play a crucial role in upholding Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy, ensuring that every dish served meets the company’s high standards for taste, safety, and presentation. This position requires hands-on involvement in grilling meats, sautéing vegetables, and cooking food to order, all while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. Beyond food preparation, the Kitchen Leader is responsible for inventory management, monitoring food waste, maintaining kitchen equipment, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

The Kitchen Leader is also a central figure in fostering teamwork and culture among the kitchen and front-of-house crews, actively supporting the development and training of Crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders. This role demands strong communication skills, leadership, and the ability to cultivate a positive and productive team dynamic. Being on your feet and actively managing your station are part of the daily routine, with an emphasis on collaboration and taking initiative to resolve issues promptly.

At Chipotle, the employment environment is inclusive and welcoming, reflecting the company's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Benefits include competitive compensation, tuition assistance, paid time off, medical, dental, and vision insurance, free food, and digital tips. Chipotle is a people-first company that values each employee's contributions and offers extensive opportunities for career advancement, with many managers having started their journeys as Crew members. Joining Chipotle means becoming part of a purpose-driven organization dedicated to better food, better farming, and a better world, where your efforts directly contribute to shaping the future of fast food and sustainable dining.
