The Kitchen Leader role at Chipotle represents a key leadership opportunity within the restaurant’s kitchen team. As a Kitchen Leader, you will develop skills in preparing high-quality food, including grilling meats and sautéing vegetables, and play a direct role in guaranteeing that all food served meets Chipotle’s high standards of flavor and safety. This position involves much more than cooking; you will be responsible for ordering supplies, maintaining kitchen equipment, and training crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders. In addition, the role requires fostering teamwork between the back-of-house and front-of-house crew to create an efficient and positive work environment conducive to outstanding customer service. The Kitchen Leader is expected to be an active, hands-on presence on the kitchen floor, constantly supporting the team, solving problems, and ensuring the kitchen is clean, organized, and safe. The role also includes monitoring food waste and inventory levels, managing material safety data sheets and inventory rotation procedures, and quickly addressing any equipment malfunctions. This is a dynamic, fast-paced position that demands strong communication skills, leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy. The position offers a competitive base salary of $15.35 to $17.08 per hour plus eligibility for digital tips and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, tuition assistance, paid time off, holiday closures, free food, and opportunities for advancement. This role is ideal for someone passionate about food quality, leadership development, and contributing to a great customer experience within a forward-thinking company.
