Job Description

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. is a renowned fast-casual restaurant chain that has transformed the traditional fast-food landscape by emphasizing responsibly sourced, classically cooked real food. Founded on the principle of 'Food With Integrity,' Chipotle is committed to serving wholesome ingredients free from artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. This commitment extends beyond just food; Chipotle is dedicated to cultivating a better world by supporting innovations in farming, embracing sustainable business practices, and leading the way in digital and technology-driven customer experiences. With locations across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, Chipotle distinguishes itself by owning and operating all of its restaurants, enabling a consistent, high-quality guest experience worldwide. The company prides itself on its inclusive and diverse workplace culture, valuing equity and opportunity for all employees, including individuals with disabilities. As a leader and innovator in the food industry, Chipotle continues to foster meaningful conversations about the future of farming and food, aiming to make better food accessible to everyone.

The position of Kitchen Leader at Chipotle offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of delivering delicious, high-quality food while leading a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment. As a Kitchen Leader, you will learn essential culinary skills such as grilling meats and sautéing vegetables, ensuring the food served meets Chipotle's high standards for quality and safety. This role is instrumental in maintaining an organized, clean kitchen environment that supports efficient operations. You will be a key player in managing inventory, controlling food waste, and ensuring all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and functioning. The Kitchen Leader serves as a vital role model to Crew members, helping train and develop future leaders within the kitchen, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous learning.

This role involves constant engagement on the restaurant floor, collaborating closely with both back-of-house and front-of-house teams to ensure a seamless and enjoyable customer experience. Through effective communication and leadership, you will support your team in meeting station goals, addressing tasks proactively, and ensuring all safety and quality guidelines are strictly followed. Your responsibilities include filling out Material Safety Data Sheets and overseeing inventory rotation procedures to meet all operational and health standards. Chipotle values its employees by offering competitive compensation, including a base pay range of $21.25 to $23.65 per hour plus digital tips, and a comprehensive benefits package that supports personal and professional growth. The company encourages upward mobility, with 80% of managers having started as Crew members, reflecting strong opportunities for advancement. Joining Chipotle as a Kitchen Leader positions you within a vibrant company culture passionate about making a positive impact through better food, innovation, and inclusivity.
