Job Description
Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE: CMG) is a renowned fast-casual restaurant chain dedicated to cultivating a better world through serving responsibly sourced, classically cooked, and real food made with wholesome ingredients free from artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Established with a commitment to revolutionizing the fast food industry, Chipotle operates numerous restaurants across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. Unlike many in the industry, Chipotle owns and operates all its restaurants in North America and Europe, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to its high standards. The company is a leader and innovator in the food sector, committed to sustainable business practices, advancing digital and technological integration, and making nutritious food more accessible to a broad customer base. Chipotle’s workforce is passionate about providing an exceptional guest experience while embracing diversity, equity, and inclusion as core values. The company fosters a culture that values world-class talent and promotes a people-first approach at every level of its organization.
The role of Kitchen Leader at Chipotle offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about food, leadership, and teamwork. As a Kitchen Leader, you will be integral in preparing great food by mastering skills such as grilling meats and sautéing vegetables, ensuring the highest quality and safety standards every day. This role goes beyond cooking; you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen while ensuring all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and swiftly repaired if needed. You will also play a key role in reducing food waste and managing inventory levels efficiently. The position involves serving as a mentor to Crew members, training and inspiring them to become future Kitchen Leaders, fostering a strong collaborative environment between the back-of-house and front-of-house teams. Leadership at Chipotle means actively participating in creating an outstanding customer experience and promoting teamwork, often multitasking and pitching in wherever necessary to meet the goals of your station and the restaurant as a whole.
This full-time position offers excellent benefits that support both your personal and professional growth, including tuition assistance covering up to 100 percent for select degrees or up to $5,250 per year, free food while on shift, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, holiday closures, and digital tips. Chipotle values its employees by providing competitive compensation and robust opportunities for advancement, with approximately 80 percent of managers having started their careers as Crew members. This commitment to internal growth and development makes the Kitchen Leader role ideal for those who aspire to grow within an innovative and values-driven company focused on sustainable success and a better food future.
