The role of a Kitchen Leader at Chipotle is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about high-quality food preparation and leadership development. As a Kitchen Leader, you will gain hands-on experience in preparing delicious meals, from grilling meats to sautéing vegetables, ensuring every dish meets Chipotle's high standards for taste and safety. This role goes beyond food preparation; it includes managing kitchen organization, inventory, and equipment maintenance to uphold stringent safety and quality guidelines. You will also play a pivotal role in mentoring and training crew members, helping them develop the skills necessary to become future Kitchen Leaders. This position demands a proactive approach—actively addressing tasks, promoting teamwork between front and back-of-house staff, and maintaining a clean, sanitized kitchen environment. The Kitchen Leader position is full-time and offers competitive pay ranging from $21.25 to $23.65 per hour, supplemented by digital tips and a comprehensive benefits package. Job Duties

  • ensuring food quality by cooking and prepping food to order, and following kitchen procedures
  • monitoring food waste and inventory levels, and resolving food quality issues
  • supporting a strong team dynamic between back of house crew and front of house crew
  • developing crew members to be future kitchen leaders
  • communicating with crew members and customers effectively in order to ensure great customer service and throughput
  • ensuring the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized
  • monitoring kitchen equipment and ensuring it is kept in good repair
  • making sure malfunctioning equipment is repaired as quickly as possible
  • ensuring that the kitchen itself and all crew members meet the necessary guidelines to ensure there are no injuries or accidents
  • filling out material safety data sheets (msds) and inventory rotation (fifo)
