Job Description

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. is a revolutionary fast-casual dining restaurant known for its commitment to providing responsibly sourced, classically cooked, and real food made with wholesome ingredients without any artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. With an extensive presence across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, Chipotle is unique in its approach as it owns and operates all its restaurants in North America and Europe. Recognized as a leader and innovator in the food industry, Chipotle focuses on sustainability, technology advancement, and delivering an outstanding guest experience. The company is deeply invested in fostering a culture that champions diversity, equity, and inclusion at every level of the business.

The Kitchen Leader role at Chipotle is a vital part of its mission to make better food accessible to everyone. This position goes beyond traditional fast-food roles by emphasizing food quality, safety, and exceptional teamwork. As a Kitchen Leader, you will develop expertise in preparing great food, grilling meats, and sautéing vegetables—all while ensuring that the kitchen environment remains clean, organized, and well-stocked. This role entails not only cooking and food preparation but also training and mentoring crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders, reinforcing a culture of leadership and growth.

Your responsibilities include maintaining the highest standards of food quality and safety, monitoring inventory, managing food waste, and ensuring equipment is properly maintained and functional. The role involves active communication between back of house and front of house teams to guarantee a seamless customer experience. You will act as a role model for crew members, supporting the development of team members, and maintaining a safe working environment to prevent injuries and accidents. This leadership position will keep you on your feet, engaging dynamically with your station's goals, pitching in to support your teammates, and ensuring the smooth running of kitchen operations.

Joining Chipotle means becoming part of a company committed not only to excellent food but also to creating a positive workplace culture that empowers employees and nurtures professional growth. The Kitchen Leader is essential in driving Chipotle’s operational success and customer satisfaction, making a meaningful impact in a vibrant and fast-growing food service establishment. If you are passionate about food, leadership, and teamwork, this role offers a rewarding career path with opportunities for advancement and personal development.
