Job Description

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE: CMG) is a leading fast-casual restaurant chain known for its commitment to serving responsibly sourced, classically cooked, real food made from wholesome ingredients without artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Founded with the mission to cultivate a better world through better food, Chipotle operates restaurants throughout the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, proudly owning and operating each location to maintain high standards. Chipotle is recognized not only for its culinary innovation but also as a trailblazer in digital technology, sustainable business practices, and a people-first company culture. The organization places strong emphasis on inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility across all levels of employment. Chipotle continues to reshape the fast-food industry by promoting a unique dining experience that prioritizes quality, food integrity, and community impact.

The role of Kitchen Leader at Chipotle offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of preparing and delivering high-quality food while overseeing kitchen operations to ensure cleanliness, safety, and excellent food standards. As a Kitchen Leader, you will be responsible for cooking and prepping food to order, grilling meats, sautéing vegetables, and making certain that every dish meets Chipotle’s unrivaled quality. You will maintain kitchen equipment, monitor inventory, and spearhead efforts to reduce food waste, all while fostering a collaborative team environment.

This role focuses on leadership development as you will train and mentor crew members, guiding them to become future Kitchen Leaders themselves. The position demands someone who can manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously, embody Chipotle's Food With Integrity philosophy, and consistently demonstrate excellent communication skills. The Kitchen Leader acts as a role model, cultivating teamwork, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining a safe and organized kitchen environment. This is a vital role contributing to the brand’s mission of making better food accessible to everyone while supporting Chipotle's reputation as a leader in the fast casual dining sector.

Chipotle is proud to offer its employees competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits, including tuition assistance, medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, holiday closures, digital tips, and opportunities for advancement with a strong culture that values learning and growth. More than 80% of managers started as Crew members, reflecting Chipotle’s commitment to internal promotion and career development. As a Kitchen Leader, you will gain invaluable kitchen and leadership experience while playing a key part in continuing the evolution of fast food into a more responsible, sustainable, and positively impactful experience.
