Job Description

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE: CMG) is a leading fast-casual restaurant chain focused on serving responsibly sourced, classically cooked, real food made with wholesome ingredients without artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. The company prides itself on cultivating a better world by delivering fast food options that are not typical of the fast-food industry. Chipotle operates restaurants across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, owning and operating all its locations in North America and Europe. Known for its commitment to food with integrity, Chipotle has pioneered efforts to shift the future of farming and food, making better food more accessible to everyone. Chipotle’s culture is built on fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion, valuing world-class individuals who are passionate about delivering an excellent guest experience and championing sustainability and digital innovation in the food industry.

The Kitchen Leader position at Chipotle presents a unique opportunity to be part of this revolutionary fast-casual restaurant environment. This role is designed for individuals who want to learn how to prepare high-quality food, including grilling meats and sautéing vegetables, while ensuring the food served is delicious and meets the company’s high standards. As a Kitchen Leader, you will take charge of the kitchen’s operation, maintaining cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards. You will also manage inventory, food waste, and kitchen equipment, guaranteeing that everything is in optimal condition to meet operational goals.

Beyond food preparation, the Kitchen Leader plays a critical role in team development. You will train and mentor crew members, helping them grow into future Kitchen Leaders, thereby fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. In this leadership role, you set an example in the kitchen by promoting teamwork, supporting both back-of-house and front-of-house crews, and ensuring everyone works harmoniously to provide an outstanding customer experience.

Chipotle offers competitive base pay ranging from $17.40 to $19.35 per hour, along with digital tips, and an attractive benefits package that includes tuition assistance covering 100% of select degrees or up to $5,250 per year, free food during shifts, medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, holiday closures, and opportunities for career advancement. Approximately 80% of managers started as crew members, highlighting the company’s commitment to internal growth.

Working at Chipotle means joining a people-first company with a purpose that extends beyond serving food. It means contributing to a culture that values diversity, ensures equity, and celebrates inclusion while striving to make better food accessible to everyone. If you are passionate about food quality, team leadership, and creating a dynamic workplace culture, the Kitchen Leader role at Chipotle offers a fulfilling and fast-paced career path with room to grow.
