Job Description

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE: CMG) is a renowned fast-casual restaurant chain with a strong commitment to cultivating a better world through serving responsibly sourced, classically cooked real food. Known for its Food With Integrity philosophy, Chipotle emphasizes wholesome ingredients without artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. With locations across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, Chipotle operates all its restaurants in North America and Europe directly, maintaining high standards of quality and customer experience. The company continually leads innovations in digital technology and sustainable business practices and strives to make better food accessible to everyone. Chipotle’s culture focuses heavily on diversity, equity, and inclusion, creating a welcoming environment for employees and customers alike. They are committed to hiring world-class individuals and fostering a people-first culture rooted in strong values.

As a Kitchen Leader at Chipotle, you will play a vital role in shaping the customer’s food experience by ensuring that all food prepared and served meets the highest standards of quality and safety. This leadership role involves hands-on responsibilities such as cooking and prepping food to order, grilling meats, and sautéing vegetables to guarantee that every meal is absolutely delicious. You will oversee kitchen organization, cleanliness, and sanitation, making sure the kitchen is well-stocked and that all equipment is maintained properly and promptly repaired if necessary. Moreover, you will function as a mentor and role model for Crew members, supporting their development into future Kitchen Leaders, thereby strengthening the team dynamic between back-of-house and front-of-house staff.

Success in this role demands a strong commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service, along with the ability to communicate effectively with both customers and colleagues. The Kitchen Leader is always active during their shift, managing their station’s goals and pitching in wherever needed to help their teammates. The role provides excellent opportunities for professional growth within the company, as roughly 80 percent of Chipotle’s managers began their careers as Crew members. Additionally, Chipotle offers competitive compensation along with a wide range of employee benefits. This is a fantastic employment opportunity for individuals passionate about food quality, leadership development, and being part of a company that is genuinely changing the future of fast food while supporting sustainable farming and food practices.
