The Kitchen Leader role is an exciting opportunity within this dynamic environment. It involves hands-on involvement in food preparation, cooking, and maintaining the highest quality and safety standards. Kitchen Leaders take on a crucial leadership position within the team by not only ensuring food quality but also fostering a strong, collaborative work environment. They oversee kitchen operations, manage food inventory, support equipment maintenance, and play an essential role in training and developing new crew members to become future leaders. This position offers competitive compensation with a base pay range between $15.35 and $17.08, complemented by digital tips and an attractive benefits package. Chipotle also supports employees’ education through tuition assistance, covering 100% for select degrees or up to $5,250 per year, alongside free meals during work hours. Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Previous restaurant experience
- Ability to understand and speak the primary language(s) of the work location
- Strong commitment to Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy
- Availability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks
- Willingness to learn and take initiative
Job Qualifications

- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Ensuring food quality by cooking and prepping food to order and following kitchen procedures
- Monitoring food waste and inventory levels and resolving food quality issues
- Supporting a strong team dynamic between back of house crew and front of house crew
- Developing crew members to be future kitchen leaders
- Communicating with crew members and customers effectively to ensure great customer service and throughput
- Ensuring the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized
- Monitoring kitchen equipment and ensuring it is kept in good repair
- making sure malfunctioning equipment is repaired as quickly as possible
- Ensuring that the kitchen itself and all crew members meet the necessary guidelines to ensure there are no injuries or accidents
- Filling out Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and Inventory Rotation (FIFO)
