As a Kitchen Leader at Chipotle, you will play a critical role in maintaining the high standards for food quality and safety while helping to drive a positive team environment. This full-time position involves preparing delicious food to order, including cooking, grilling meats, and sautéing vegetables, ensuring every meal meets Chipotle's exacting standards. You will also be responsible for managing inventory, monitoring food waste, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. Besides delivering excellent customer service, the Kitchen Leader supports the training and development of crew members to become future leaders. The role requires active involvement in the kitchen, continuous communication with the team, and a proactive approach to solving problems related to food quality and equipment maintenance.   • Have a high school diploma
  • Have restaurant experience

Job Duties

  • Ensuring food quality by cooking and prepping food to order and following kitchen procedures
  • Monitoring food waste and inventory levels and resolving food quality issues
  • Supporting a strong team dynamic between back of house crew and front of house crew
  • Developing crew members to be future kitchen leaders
  • Communicating with crew members and customers effectively to ensure great customer service and throughput
  • Ensuring the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized
  • Monitoring kitchen equipment and ensuring it is kept in good repair and making sure malfunctioning equipment is repaired quickly
  • Ensuring the kitchen and all crew members meet guidelines to prevent injuries or accidents
  • Filling out Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and Inventory Rotation (FIFO)
