Job Description

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (NYSE: CMG) is a leading fast-casual restaurant chain dedicated to cultivating a better world through responsibly sourced, classically cooked, real food. Known for its commitment to using wholesome ingredients without artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives, Chipotle has redefined the fast-food experience by focusing on quality, sustainability, and a strong company culture. With restaurants across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, Chipotle is unique among its peers as it owns and operates all its locations, ensuring consistent service and high standards globally.

Chipotle is more than just a restaurant; it's a mission-driven company aimed at making better food accessible to everyone. The brand is a pioneer in digital innovation, technology integration, and sustainable business practices, always focused on promoting an inclusive and diverse workplace. They foster an environment where employees are empowered, valued, and motivated to grow professionally.

The Kitchen Leader role at Chipotle is a vital position that blends food preparation expertise with leadership and team development. The Kitchen Leader learns to prepare great food with a focus on grilling meats, sautéing vegetables, and maintaining exceptional food quality. This role goes beyond cooking— it involves ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly, safely, and meets cleanliness standards, while also training and mentoring crew members to become future leaders. Sustaining a positive team dynamic between back-of-house and front-of-house staff and supporting strong communication lines are key facets of this leadership position.

This is a full-time role, ideally suited for individuals passionate about food quality and leadership within a fast-paced environment. Kitchen Leaders are role models who are hands-on, proactive, and committed to delivering an excellent customer experience by leading by example and fostering teamwork. They oversee inventory and food waste, resolve food quality issues, and manage equipment maintenance. Additionally, they handle administrative tasks such as filling out Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and ensuring proper inventory rotation (FIFO).

Chipotle values these leaders as champions of the company’s Food With Integrity philosophy, which underpins everything from ingredient sourcing to customer service. The company offers competitive compensation and a host of benefits, including tuition assistance, free food, medical, dental, and vision insurance, digital tips, paid time off, and opportunities for career advancement, with many managers having started their journey as crew members.

Joining Chipotle means becoming part of a people-first organization dedicated to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with equal opportunities for all qualified applicants. They provide reasonable accommodations for applicants with disabilities to ensure a fair and accessible hiring process. If you're ready to contribute to a company that is making a meaningful impact on how fast food is experienced and prepared, the Kitchen Leader role at Chipotle is an exceptional opportunity for your professional growth and culinary passion.
