Founded on the principle of Food With Integrity, Chipotle prioritizes using wholesome ingredients free from artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. With a notable presence across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, Chipotle is distinctively recognized as the only restaurant company of its scale that solely owns and operates all its restaurants in North America and Europe. This dedication to maintaining a tight operational control allows Chipotle to consistently deliver quality food and a great guest experience. Employees at Chipotle are passionate about making better food accessible to everyone, and the company continuously leads innovative efforts in digital technology and sustainable business practices in the food industry. Chipotle fosters an inclusive workplace culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion, extending beyond its culinary mission to create a welcoming environment for all employees and customers.
The Kitchen Leader role at Chipotle is a critical position responsible for ensuring the preparation of high-quality and delicious food while supporting operational excellence in the kitchen. This role goes beyond the traditional fast-food experience by emphasizing quality, food safety, teamwork, and leadership development. As a Kitchen Leader, you will be entrusted with training and developing crew members to become future leaders, ensuring the kitchen is well maintained, clean, organized, and properly stocked. Your core responsibilities include cooking and prepping food to order, grilling meats, sautéing vegetables, and managing inventory levels to minimize waste while meeting Chipotle’s standards. Additionally, you will monitor kitchen equipment to ensure functionality and timely repairs, promote a safe working environment to prevent accidents or injuries, and enforce Chipotle’s policies and procedures related to food safety and operational efficiency. This role requires the ability to communicate effectively with both the back-of-house and front-of-house teams, fostering a strong team dynamic that promotes excellent customer service and throughput.

The position is ideal for individuals passionate about food quality and leadership who want to grow within the company, as 80 percent of Chipotle managers started their careers as crew members or kitchen leaders. Chipotle supports employee growth by providing tuition assistance, comprehensive healthcare benefits, paid time off, holiday closures, and competitive compensation. Furthermore, Chipotle is dedicated to accommodating employees with disabilities by providing reasonable accommodations during the hiring process and employment. If you are enthusiastic about the mission to make better food accessible, enjoy fast-paced kitchen environments, and aspire to develop your leadership skills, the Kitchen Leader role at Chipotle is a rewarding career opportunity where you can make a meaningful impact every day.
