Chipotle has built a reputation for innovation, sustainability, and customer-first service, continually pushing the boundaries of what fast food can be. At the heart of Chipotle's philosophy is the belief that food served fast does not have to compromise quality or integrity, making it a pioneer in shifting the future of farming, food sourcing, and restaurant operations.
Chipotle is dedicated to cultivating a better world by serving food made with wholesome ingredients, free from artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives. The company fosters a dynamic work environment that values diversity, inclusion, and equity, emphasizing the importance of hiring world-class individuals. Chipotle champions a culture that supports its employees' growth while making better food accessible to everyone. Their dedication to sustainable business practices, digital innovation, and excellent customer service sets them apart as a model in the industry.
The Kitchen Leader role at Chipotle is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about food quality, team leadership, and creating memorable customer experiences. As a Kitchen Leader, you will learn and master the art of food preparation, including grilling meats, sautéing vegetables, and ensuring that every dish meets Chipotle's high standards for taste and safety. This role carries the responsibility of monitoring kitchen operations to maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety protocols while ensuring equipment is in top condition and properly maintained.
In addition to hands-on food preparation, the Kitchen Leader plays a vital role in inventory management, monitoring food waste, and solving quality issues promptly. You will lead by example, fostering a supportive and collaborative team environment that strengthens the relationship between the kitchen crew and front-of-house staff. One of the key components of this role is mentoring and training fellow crew members to become future Kitchen Leaders, nurturing their professional growth within the company.
The position is not just about managing tasks but also about embodying Chipotle's Food With Integrity philosophy and engaging effectively with both customers and team members to ensure a superior dining experience. On your feet and busy throughout your shift, you will proactively identify and address the needs of the kitchen, support teammates, and drive station goals with enthusiasm and dedication.
Chipotle offers a competitive pay range of $16.90 to $18.81 per hour for this role, which is also eligible for digital tips, reflective of skills, experience, and education. Moreover, the company provides a comprehensive benefits package designed to support its employees' well-being and career advancement, including tuition assistance for select degrees, paid time off, health coverage, and more. At Chipotle, 80% of managers began their careers as crew members, highlighting significant opportunities for growth and advancement.
