Known for blending the art of craft brewing with exceptional culinary experiences, Maui Brewing Co. Kailua serves a diverse menu alongside its celebrated beers, attracting both locals and tourists alike who appreciate quality, freshness, and a laid-back island atmosphere.
This role is for a Kitchen Lead position, available on either a full-time or part-time basis, offering a competitive pay rate of $24 to $26 per hour plus tips, with the added benefit of early access to wages through the DailyPay system. Team members also share in a service fee-based tip pool, providing an average total hourly earning of $21 to $24, making this an attractive opportunity for culinary professionals seeking both monetary rewards and a supportive workplace.
As a Kitchen Lead at Maui Brewing Co. Kailua, you will take charge of supervising and coordinating daily kitchen operations to ensure timely, quality food preparation that meets the brand’s high standards. This leadership role requires someone who can maintain strict adherence to local and federal food safety and sanitation regulations, ensuring a safe and clean kitchen environment at all times. You will also manage inventory levels, place supply orders, and work proactively to minimize waste and control food costs effectively.
Beyond operational management, the Kitchen Lead is responsible for training, mentoring, and evaluating kitchen team members to foster a culture of continuous skill development and high performance. Collaboration with management to plan menus, implement new recipes, and adjust kitchen workflows is a key component of the role, helping to keep the menu fresh, exciting, and aligned with customer preferences. You will also oversee kitchen equipment and facilities maintenance to ensure everything functions properly without disruption to service.
Handling operational challenges and workplace conflicts swiftly and professionally is part of the daily responsibilities. The Kitchen Lead plays a crucial role in maintaining a harmonious and efficient kitchen environment that supports both staff well-being and superior guest experiences.
Overall, this position is ideal for experienced culinary professionals who thrive in fast-paced, high-volume kitchen settings and aspire to grow their leadership skills within a celebrated craft brewery environment that values culture, community, and quality. Maui Brewing Co. Kailua offers not just a job but a career pathway with rewarding benefits, a positive work atmosphere, and the opportunity to be part of Hawaii's thriving craft beer and culinary scene.
