Job Description

FatCats is a dynamic entertainment company that combines the excitement of bowling, dining, and entertainment into one vibrant destination for families, friends, and individuals seeking a fun and memorable experience. Known for its friendly atmosphere and comprehensive entertainment options, FatCats delivers a unique blend of recreational activities and dining, making it a popular choice for leisure and social gatherings. The company is committed to creating a workplace culture that values personal and professional growth, internal promotion opportunities, and a balanced work-life environment. As a workplace, FatCats emphasizes core values such as humility, trust, excellence, teamwork, and stewardship, which guide their team interactions and leadership practices.

The role of Kitchen Lead at FatCats is a vital leadership position within the kitchen operations of the restaurant and entertainment center. This role goes beyond basic food preparation, involving a broad range of responsibilities that include managing daily kitchen operations, guiding the kitchen team, overseeing inventory and ordering, and maintaining high standards for food quality and safety. The Kitchen Lead serves as the right hand to the Kitchen Manager, helping to coordinate efforts to deliver exceptional food service in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

A Kitchen Lead at FatCats plays a key role in fostering a positive and professional team environment, setting daily goals, and ensuring that food prep and cooking meet the company’s established standards. You will be responsible for leading team huddles, promoting culinary excellence, and supporting the training of kitchen staff on safe and sanitary food handling practices. This position requires someone who can operate effectively within FatCats' Leadership Guiding Principles, which emphasize assuming positive intent, trust-building, and respectful communication.

In this role, you will oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the kitchen equipment, monitor food costs, manage inventory flow, and address any operational challenges with a proactive approach. Your leadership helps optimize kitchen functions to ensure smooth and efficient service that aligns with management objectives and enhances guest satisfaction. This position requires not only culinary and operational skills but also strong interpersonal qualities and the ability to lead by example.

The Kitchen Lead role offers a variety of shifts, including opening, mid, and closing shifts, providing flexibility and the chance to engage with the team across different parts of the day. FatCats provides competitive benefits including 401k, comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, employer-paid life insurance options, contributions to Health Savings Accounts, and holiday pay, all aimed at supporting the physical, financial, and professional well-being of their employees.

If you have prior leadership experience in food service and a passion for guiding teams in a collaborative, energetic environment, the Kitchen Lead position at FatCats offers an excellent opportunity to advance your career. You will join a vibrant company dedicated to delighting guests and supporting its employees’ growth, providing a meaningful role where your contributions directly impact the customer experience and team success. This role is perfect for driven, team-oriented individuals who take pride in delivering outstanding service while developing their leadership capabilities within a fun and supportive workplace environment.
