Job Requirements

  • DOH/ServSafe certification and any required city/state food safety certifications
  • Basic mathematical and quantitative skills
  • Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
  • Capability to occasionally move or transport items up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Availability to work flexible shifts and schedules, especially early morning hours
  • Ability to communicate clearly with customers and employees and accurately exchange information
  • Ability to adapt to fast-changing priorities
  • Skill in using a computer and/or tablet

Job Duties

  • Upholding and protecting CHOPT's food quality and food safety standards in the kitchen and on the line
  • Initiating corrective actions with employees as needed
  • Working alongside team members in the Back-of-House to execute successful food preparation and efficient set-up of the line before service
  • Participating in early opening shift functions and initiating prep activities
  • Managing portion control through daily grab tests and reporting results to management
  • Providing support to the General Manager regarding ordering, receiving, inventory, and pars
  • Leading and communicating pertinent food preparation information during Limited Time Offer roll-outs
