The Kenwood Inn and Spa, one of the properties in the Four Sisters Inns collection, is currently seeking to fill two Kitchen Helper positions within their kitchen team. This role is essential in supporting the hotel's Lead Cook and contributing significantly to the overall guest experience. Kitchen Helpers at Kenwood Inn and Spa are responsible for a variety of tasks, including setting up and breaking down buffet breakfast and wine and cheese hour, washing dishes, assisting with food preparation, and delivering room service. The position requires a can-do attitude and a willingness to assist a small but dedicated team. Scheduled primarily for weekends from 6:45 am to 2:00 pm, this role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic team within a prestigious hotel collection. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least one year of experience in kitchen helper or similar role
  • a positive, can-do attitude and professionalism
  • valid Food Handlers Certificate
  • ability to work weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday from 6:45 am - 2 pm)
  • capable of physical tasks such as standing for long periods, lifting, and cleaning
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen
  • willingness to assist team members as needed

Job Qualifications

  • One-year education certification or equivalent training/experience in cooking and baking

Job Duties

  • Foster a warm and friendly environment for all guests and team members
  • sets up breakfast service and buffet
  • sets and clears tables and maintains cleanliness
  • keeps serving areas stocked
  • assists cook in food preparation
  • assists with breakfast in bed set up and delivers tray and items to the guestroom
  • neatly puts washed items in their proper place
  • washes and dries all dishes, pots, pans and utensils using sanitizer or by hand with appropriate cleaning supplies
  • refills food items including jam, peanut butter, sugars, etc. for the following day
  • maintain cleanliness of all food preparation and storage areas
  • assists in putting away deliveries as needed
  • empties garbage as needed and before it becomes too heavy
  • at end of shift, thoroughly cleans dining area including tables and floor
  • maintains a Food Handlers Certificate
  • uses equipment and materials safely, follows safety procedures and observes safety rules
  • conducts self professionally reflecting credit on Four Sisters Inns and encourages others to do the same
