  • understanding of timing, plate presentation, and what quality looks like in service
  • clear communication skills to work well with chefs, cooks, servers, and managers
  • strong attention to detail and ability to stay composed under pressure
  • team player attitude with pride in helping others perform better
  • strong sense of urgency without becoming careless or rushed
  • dependability, professionalism, and ability to stay organized during busy shifts
  • experience in private club, restaurant, or hospitality environment is a plus

Job Duties

  • keep the line moving smoothly by coordinating communication between cooks and service staff
  • review every plate before it leaves the kitchen for accuracy, presentation, temperature, and completeness
  • catch missing items, incorrect sides, allergy concerns, and special requests before food hits the floor
  • organize tickets and help pace service so tables are fired and finished correctly
  • support chefs and cooks by helping maintain order during busy meal periods and club events
  • communicate clearly and confidently with both back-of-house and front-of-house teams
  • help reduce re-fires, delays, and avoidable mistakes through attention to detail and strong follow-through
