Job Requirements

  • Mission of the BOH Director includes directing daily kitchen operations ensuring compliance with company standards
  • Experience in production, preparation, customer relations, restaurant maintenance and repair, inventory management, team management, recruiting, financial accountability
  • Interaction and coordination with marketing, front-counter and drive-thru leadership
  • Prior management or supervisory experience in kitchen or restaurant settings is very helpful
  • Ability to perform under pressure

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations

Job Duties

  • Conduct formal and informal meetings with kitchen staff
  • Track speed of service reports
  • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment promoting food safety
  • Interview and recruit new kitchen personnel
  • Develop and manage daytime and nighttime check lists
  • Provide orientation, training, coaching, and evaluation for kitchen team members
  • Manage labor cost efficiency and ensure tasks are completed on time
  • Plan and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Oversee equipment cleaning, repair, and maintenance schedules
  • Ensure proper opening and closing of the kitchen
  • Manage produce ordering, truck orders, and transfer logs
  • Foster positive recognition culture among team members
  • Ensure adherence to food holding times and timers
  • Create seamless transition from breakfast to lunch service
  • Ensure kitchen staff finish tasks at appointed times
