The Custodial Supervisor position at Pueblo of Sandia Resort and Casino is a critical role responsible for ensuring cleanliness and overall custodial functions throughout the resort's food and beverage areas. These include the kitchens, buffet areas, restaurants, concession zones, lounge, and related facilities. Under general supervision, the Custodial Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the custodial staff, managing standards in accordance with management directives and ensuring all areas meet stringent cleanliness and hygiene requirements. This role is hands-on, which means that the supervisor must also be willing to participate in cleaning tasks as needed to support their team.
In this leadership capacity, the Custodial Supervisor directs and evaluates the work of custodial personnel in kitchen and dining settings, maintaining a well-organized schedule and managing the inventory of cleaning supplies essential for operations. They conduct employee orientation, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions when necessary, and maintain related records and reports. Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent
- Three years of responsible experience in a kitchen/dining custodial work environment including one year supervisory experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted New Mexico Driver's License
- Must be able to successfully pass a stringent background investigation
- Will require a pre-employment and random drug screening
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent
- Three years of responsible experience in a kitchen/dining custodial work environment including one year supervisory experience
- Ability to supervise and direct the work of others
- Knowledge of operation of tools used in custodial work in food and beverage areas
- Ability to type, prepare, and maintain office reports and records
- Ability to maintain an equipment operating supply inventory
- Knowledge of general safety rules, requirements, procedures, and reporting
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain good public and employee relations
- Ability to maintain overall custodial supplies used in kitchen, dining and bar areas
- Ability to administer first aid until Security Department assumes control
- Ability to lift minimum of 60 pounds
- Knowledge of computer and Windows software
- Good organizational skills
Job Duties
- Directs, supervises, and evaluates the work assigned to kitchen/dining custodial personnel
- Oversees custodial duties including cleaning of ovens, stoves, grills, fryers, floors, walls, doors, trash disposal, buffet bars, tables, chairs, and carpet cleaning
- Oversees cleaning of Resort and Casino kitchens, restaurants, buffet area, concessions and other areas when required
- Maintains an inventory and orders kitchen/dining custodial cleaning supplies as required
- Schedules kitchen/dining custodial staff daily cleaning duties
- Conducts orientation of new custodial employees
- Completes and processes associated employee disciplinary action reports and recommendations
- Conducts employee performance evaluations in a timely manner
- Prepares and maintains files, records, reports, and related documents in support of kitchen/dining custodial activities
- Enforces Stewarding Department standard operating procedures
- Schedules the kitchen/dining custodial staff work shift schedule
- Controls emergency mechanical functions under evacuation and fire situations such as turning off/on electric power and gas
- Signs off and monitors kitchen/dining custodial employee timecards for accuracy
