The position is with a franchisee of the renowned Dairy Queen4 system, a beloved brand known for its delicious soft-serve treats and fast, friendly service. Its important to note that you would be employed by the independent business owner who operates this Dairy Queen4 location, not by the American Dairy Queen Corporation or International Dairy Queen, Inc. As a franchisee, this independent owner makes all decisions related to hiring, wages, hours, and other employment aspects. Job Requirements
- Must be friendly
- Must be outgoing
- Must be able to work nights and weekend nights
- Must be able to work till 11:30 pm - 12 am twice a week
- Comfortable standing for entire shift
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to handle raw, frozen, and cooked food products
- Practice established food handling procedures
- Meet any local health regulations
- Exhibit good manners
- Practice proper personal hygiene
- Maintain a positive attitude at all times
Job Qualifications
- Ability to communicate positively with fans and co-workers constantly during shifts
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a great attitude
- Physical stamina to stand for entire shifts and lift up to 50 pounds
- Knowledge of safe food handling and temperature control procedures
- Ability to practice established food handling procedures and comply with health regulations
- Good personal hygiene and promptness
- Positive attitude and eagerness to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Be an ambassador of the Dairy Queen brand and be professional in every aspect of performance
- Enthusiastically greet and welcome fans to the Dairy Queen brand
- Strive to exceed fan expectations and deliver fan first service through timely and quality service
- Quickly and accurately prepare food products following restaurant, health, and safety standards
- Properly and safely operate and maintain restaurant equipment including grill, fryer, freezer, and other cooking equipment
- Complete assigned preparation work for stocking and setting up grill area
- Calmly solve fan concerns and embrace Dairy Queen's service recovery standards
- Be a willing team player and maintain a cooperative, harmonious working relationship with management and fellow team members
- Create and maintain a positive, safe, clean, and inviting environment for fans and team members
- At all times exhibit a genuine passion for excellence
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
