Recognized for fostering a compassionate and collaborative workplace culture, the organization emphasizes teamwork, employee growth, and community engagement.

The role of Kitchen Coordinator is central to the success of the Women & Children’s Ministries, operating Wednesday through Sunday from 10:30 am to 7 pm. This position is designed for individuals passionate about ministry work and eager to contribute to a healing environment by managing kitchen operations effectively. As the Kitchen Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing daily meal preparations, ensuring food safety compliance, and coordinating a team of volunteers and work therapy guests. The position offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $20.51 to $26.16 based on experience, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package that supports health, financial security, professional development, and work-life balance.

This role requires a hands-on leader who can maintain kitchen standards according to health regulations while facilitating daily meal services that cater to the ministry’s program locations. Beyond food preparation, the Coordinator collaborates closely with program leadership and support teams to enhance guest engagement and support therapy work opportunities. This is an opportunity to join a mission-driven organization that values faith, community service, and the holistic well-being of both the people it serves and its employees.

The Kitchen Coordinator position represents more than just a culinary oversight role; it’s a chance to embody the organization’s mission through daily actions and teamwork. The commitment to living out faith principles is a core aspect of this work, as applicants must acknowledge and sign the Mission’s Statement of Faith. This ensures alignment with the spiritual values that guide the organization’s vision to see every homeless neighbor as beloved, redeemed, and restored.

Successful candidates will bring a minimum of one year of food preparation experience and a Food Handler’s card, along with the physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is also required to manage operational tasks and communication effectively. The work environment promotes continuous learning through professional growth opportunities such as continuing education reimbursement, fostering career advancement within the ministry.

The organization is committed to diversity and inclusion, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds without discrimination. They are also open to considering candidates with criminal histories, emphasizing a supportive and inclusive hiring philosophy. Working within this ministry means joining a compassionate community dedicated to faith, service, and making a tangible difference in the lives of women, children, and their community.
