As a Kitchen Cook at Cardenas Markets, you will play a vital role in preparing delicious, fresh food daily for customers by following precise recipes and handling food products with care. This position demands dedication to quality, cleanliness, and customer service while working in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Your responsibilities include preparing a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items using different kitchen equipment like broilers, ovens, grills, and fryers. Beyond mere preparation, you will carefully weigh, label, date, package, and rotate food products to ensure the highest safety and freshness standards are maintained.

Job Duties
- Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment
- Follow recipe specifications and portion food products according to company standards
- Maintain standards for quality, cleanliness, organization, customer service, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, store conditions, and food safety
- Fill and re-stock front counter utensils, water sanitizer, vegetables, and drinks
- Ensure all prepared food items are weighed, labeled, dated, packaged, and rotated according to company standards
- Take food orders in person and by telephone
- Follow procedures for voids, refunds, transaction cancellation, and saved recall transactions
