The role of Kitchen Cook at The Moorings of Arlington Heights is a full-time position within the Dining Department, working the 2nd shift for five days each week. With hourly pay ranging from $18.35 to $26.98 based on years of experience, this role also includes a $1,000 sign-on bonus. As a Kitchen Cook, you will play a critical role in preparing quality meals and contributing to the dining experience of residents and guests. The position entails preparing a variety of dishes from scratch, including accompaniments and garnishes, ensuring strict adherence to food safety and quality guidelines. This position requires flexibility, as you will work across different dining areas as needed, bringing a thorough knowledge of food preparation techniques for diverse dining settings. Responsibilities also include planning and organizing daily food production to ensure timely service, while maintaining proper portioning, plating, and presentation standards. Job Requirements
- Highschool diploma or GED
- minimum 2 years cooking experience in restaurant or cafeteria
- knowledge of food safety standards
- ability to work second shift full time
- English proficiency
