Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience as a cook or in a related culinary role
- knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- possession of food safety certification or willingness to obtain it
- ability to handle kitchen tools and appliances safely
- strong communication skills
- capability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
- basic math skills for measuring and portioning
- commitment to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen
Job Qualifications
- former engagement as a cook or in a relevant culinary capacity
- sound comprehension of cooking methods and principles essential for food preparation
- familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation practices
- essential certification for food safety if not already secured
- foundational skills in mathematics and counting
- proficiency in communication and ability to work well in a team setting
- attaining a high school diploma or its equal is favored but not compulsory
Job Duties
- create a diverse selection of dishes using standardized recipes and production guidelines
- arrange work areas with necessary ingredients and tools
- prepare ingredients by cutting, trimming, measuring, blending, and similar tasks
- safely operate kitchen tools and appliances such as knives, ovens, stovetops, and mixers
- prepare and cook dishes through baking, broiling, roasting, steaming, and other culinary processes
- present and distribute meals according to specific standards for appearance and quantity
- abide by recommended food safety protocols and store food properly
- maintain hygiene of kitchen surfaces, machinery and tools through cleaning and disinfecting
- provide outstanding service to customers with a positive mindset
- ensure full adherence to Aramark's safety and sanitation policies
- ensure the security of organizational properties
