The position of Kitchen Cashier at Cardenas Markets is integral to the overall customer experience within the store’s retail food service area. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • valid Food Handlers Card
  • ability to handle cash transactions accurately
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to work standing for extended periods
  • ability to lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs
  • previous customer service or retail experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide excellent results with persistence and perseverance
  • demonstrate care and compassion for people while building positive team relationships
  • maintain standards for quality, cleanliness, organization, customer service, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, store conditions, and food safety
  • assist cooks with making specific dishes
  • fill and restock front counter utensils, water sanitizer, vegetables, and drinks
  • follow procedures for voids, refunds, transaction cancellation, and all saved recall transactions
  • take food orders in person and by telephone
  • demonstrate personal customer service excellence and engage with customers at all times
  • improve speed and efficiency of service provided
