With a dedicated team of over 4,500 members, Lifespace serves more than 5,100 residents across the nation, focusing on creating communities where people are empowered to live their aspirations. Lifespace has grown steadily over the past 40 years by providing meaningful experiences and personalized care to seniors in a supportive and vibrant environment.

Village on the Green, located at 500 Village Place in Longwood, Florida, is one of the exceptional Lifespace communities focused on delivering compassionate senior care in a welcoming and home-like setting. Known for its commitment to teamwork, personal growth, and purposeful living, Village on the Green offers rewarding opportunities for individuals interested in making a difference in the lives of older adults. As part of the Lifespace network, this community embodies the broader organization's mission to foster thriving communities where residents and team members alike can grow and flourish.

The position of Kitchen Attendant at Village on the Green is an essential role within the community’s culinary services team. This hourly role, with a pay range of $15.00 to $17.67 per hour, offers team members the chance to contribute to the well-being of residents by maintaining clean, safe, and organized kitchen spaces. The role emphasizes teamwork, responsibility, and attention to detail, with duties that include washing and sanitizing all kitchenware through mechanical or manual methods, stocking and rotating supplies in accordance with proper food safety practices, and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of kitchen areas through thorough cleaning routines.

In addition to maintaining compliant chemical levels and temperatures for dishwashing equipment and sinks, Kitchen Attendants also play a pivotal part in the day-to-day operations by ensuring that all equipment is properly shut down and storage areas are securely locked at the end of shifts. This role offers plenty of opportunities for those eager to learn and grow their skills within the food service industry, especially in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

No prior experience or educational requirements are needed to apply for this position, making it ideal for individuals who are willing to learn and develop new skills. The community encourages applicants to live out their purpose, grow their careers, and thrive through collaboration and meaningful interactions. Moreover, healthcare candidates hired in this role must complete a background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse as part of the employment process, ensuring compliance with Florida state regulations.

By joining Lifespace Communities and becoming a part of Village on the Green, team members are welcomed into a family-oriented, mission-driven organization that strongly values the contributions of every individual. Lifespace promises continuous growth opportunities, a strong support network, and a workplace culture that motivates employees to deliver exceptional personalized experiences for residents every day.
