Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in food preparation or kitchen work
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- Willingness to obtain food safety certification
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and standing for long durations
- Strong communication skills
- Commitment to follow safety protocols and company policies
Job Qualifications
- Experience as a cook or in a related role
- Validated knowledge of basic principles of food preparation
- Familiarity with various cooking methods and food safety regulations
- Ability to acquire food safety certification
- Basic math and counting skills
- Good interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
- Physical capability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods
Job Duties
- Cooking and preparing food items following specified production guidelines and standardized recipes
- Laying out the workstation with all the essential equipment and ingredients
- Measuring, weighing, blending, cutting, trimming, and peeling food items to prepare ingredients
- Using different utensils and kitchen equipment safely
- Employing various cooking methods such as baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming
- Systematizing, embellishing, and apportioning meals in accordance with predetermined guidelines
- Following food safety policies and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of workstations and tools
