Job Description
The Hospitality Hub is a dedicated organization located in downtown Memphis, focused on helping individuals exit homelessness. As a vital community resource, the Hub campus operates as a safe, kind, and respectful environment that serves as a single point of entry to comprehensive support services for those experiencing homelessness. The Hub's mission is to provide its guests with stabilizing resources such as temporary shelter, assistance with acquiring identification, employment opportunities, and referrals to various community partners. By creating a supportive and compassionate setting, the Hospitality Hub aims to empower its guests to move toward self-sufficiency and permanent housing solutions.
The Kitchen Associate role at the Hospitality Hub is crucial in supporting this mission by preparing healthy, delicious meals for the guests and participants served by the organization. This position is responsible for preparing three meals daily for up to 60 overnight guests, including children, as well as lunches for up to 40 Work Local program participants each day. Additional meal services may also be required for staff, guests, and visitors, ensuring that everyone on campus receives nourishing food in a timely manner. The Kitchen Associate will maintain a clean, organized, and inviting kitchen and dining environment, contributing to the overall welcoming atmosphere of the Hospitality Hub. This role demands a high level of responsibility and flexibility, as the Kitchen Associate may occasionally assist other departments as needed to support the Hub's operations and service delivery. The ideal candidate will be passionate about healthful meal preparation and working within a supportive team to make a positive impact on individuals experiencing homelessness. This employment opportunity offers a meaningful chance to contribute directly to a cause that transforms lives and helps restore dignity to vulnerable populations.
