The role of Deli/Kitchen Associate at FriendShip Family is a dynamic and rewarding position designed for individuals passionate about foodservice and customer satisfaction. As a Kitchen Associate, you will be an integral part of the fast-paced kitchen team, supporting the deli manager in the smooth operation of each kitchen location. Your responsibilities will encompass preparing and cooking food items according to established menu specifications, ensuring all products are properly labeled and stored to maintain freshness and quality. The role emphasizes the importance of delivering "Wicked Awesome Customer Service" (WACS) by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their food inquiries, creating a positive dining experience.

Operational duties include collaborating closely with the Kitchen Manager to execute proper food preparation schematics, managing par sheets, and ensuring replenishment and storage procedures are meticulously followed. Kitchen Associates are expected to operate kitchen equipment and cutlery safely while completing necessary paperwork, build-to and order guides during each shift. This role demands adaptability as job responsibilities may evolve in response to changing business needs.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Preferred 1 year of experience in food service restaurant or at the C-Store or QSR level
- Achieve ServSafe level 1 certification
- Must be able to work with minimum amount of supervision under stressful conditions

Job Duties
- Provide wicked awesome customer service by greeting customers and assisting with food inquiries
- Prepare and cook all food items according to menu specifications
- Ensure all food items are properly labelled and stored to maintain freshness and quality
- Train and mentor new team members on proper food handling and preparation techniques
- Assist in receiving, placing, monitoring, and replenishing foodservice items as needed
- Identify and communicate foodservice operational opportunities to store management staff
- Ensure work areas remain safe, clean, and orderly, adhering to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
- Work with the Kitchen Manager to understand and execute proper deli food preparation, schematics, par sheets, replenishment, and storage procedures
- Ensure high quality standard of food items from preparation to point of sale
- Safely operate kitchen equipment and cutlery
- Complete shift paperwork, build-to and order guides as needed
- Adapt to changing job responsibilities due to business needs
