The organization prides itself on creating a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment where meals, beverages, and snacks are prepared and served with care and attention to detail. It is committed to following health regulations and maintaining proper hygiene in all aspects of kitchen duties. This position is ideal for someone interested in working in food services, who values teamwork, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction. This role is generally part-time or full-time based on the kitchen’s operational needs, with compensation reflective of the hospitality and food service industry standards.

The role involves assisting in the preparation and serving of meals by washing and chopping fruits and vegetables, mixing beverages, and arranging snacks. The job requires maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas, including washing dishes and kitchen equipment, cleaning tables, chairs, and condiment holders, as well as sweeping, mopping, polishing, stripping, and waxing floors. The person in this position will be responsible for cleaning refrigerators, freezers, ice machines, coffee makers, stoves, and ovens to ensure all food-preparation appliances are hygienic and safe to use. Stocking food, beverages, and supplies in an orderly and safe manner is an expected task to keep the kitchen running smoothly. Emptying trash cans and ensuring all kitchen work complies with health regulations relating to food preparation, serving, and storage are critical to the role. The employee may also assist in monitoring the work of volunteers in the kitchen. This job requires both physical activity and dedication to maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment. Strong communication skills in English and the ability to meet attendance requirements are essential.
