- One year experience working in a kitchen preferred or any equivalent combination of training and experience
- knowledge of cleaning practices, methods, and techniques
- ability to assist in the preparation and presentation of meals
- ability to wash dishes and kitchen appliances
- ability to clean kitchen and dining area
- ability to meet attendance requirements
- ability to read, write, and communicate the English language

Job Duties
- Assist in preparing meals, beverages and snacks
- wash and chop fruits and vegetables
- mix beverages and arrange snacks
- assist in serving meals ensuring appropriate proportions are provided
- wash, dry, and store pots, pans, plates, glasses, cups, bowls, and utensils
- clean tables, chairs, and condiment holders
- sweep, mop, polish, strip, and wax kitchen and dining room floors
- clean refrigerators, freezers, ice machines, coffee makers, stoves, and ovens
- stock food, beverages, and supplies in an orderly and safe manner
- empty trash cans
- perform all kitchen work in accordance with health regulations
- assist in monitoring work of volunteers working in the kitchen
- perform other related work as required
