The Cook position at Kissel Uptown Oakland offers an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals to showcase their expertise across multiple food service outlets including the restaurant, café, room service, employee cafeteria, and banquet facilities. Maintaining impeccable kitchen organization, sanitation, and safety standards is a priority in this role, alongside a proactive approach to anticipate needs and act preemptively. Time management skills are essential to ensure that food preparation and service are prompt, maintaining the ultimate goal of an unforgettable dining experience for all guests. This full-time cooking role requires at least five years of progressive culinary experience or a culinary degree paired with one year of experience in a hotel or related hospitality environment, as well as a valid Food Handlers Certification complying with state regulations. Those who join the team will benefit from a competitive package including medical, dental, vision coverage, income protection plans, life and ADandD insurance, paid time off, an employee assistance program, and a 401k retirement plan, along with the unique possibility of daily pay.
