Job Requirements

  • at least five years of progressive culinary experience or a culinary graduate with at least one year of experience in a hotel or related field
  • food handlers certification required (must comply with state requirements)
  • able to work effectively under pressure, maintaining composure while quickly evaluating situations and determining the best course of action
  • a strong communicator who listens actively to understand concerns raised by coworkers and guests, and effectively conveys ideas and solutions

Job Qualifications

  • culinary graduate with at least one year of experience in a hotel or related field
  • previous supervisory responsibility preferred
  • excellent communication skills
  • strong organizational and leadership abilities
  • proactive problem-solving skills

Job Duties

  • prepare and supervise food items with precision, ensuring every dish meets high standards of quality, portioning, and presentation
  • lead and assist kitchen staff to maintain efficient operations and consistently deliver high-quality food and service
  • anticipate challenges and resolve issues proactively to keep kitchen operations running smoothly
  • share information effectively and address concerns from co-workers and guests with professionalism and clarity
  • keep the kitchen spotless and well-organized, always meeting sanitation and safety standards
  • take initiative by anticipating needs and acting before issues arise, keeping service seamless
  • manage time wisely to ensure food preparation and service are prompt and on point
