Job Description

Kiehl's Since 1851 was originally founded as an old-world apothecary in New York's Lower East Side neighborhood. Over the years, the company has established itself as a prominent skincare brand known for its unique natural ingredients sourced globally and its dedication to personalized customer service. Kiehl's prides itself on its rich heritage combined with a modern approach to skincare, offering a broad range of high-quality products that cater to various skin types and needs. The company culture emphasizes not only product excellence but also a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and employee growth, making it an appealing destination for professionals passionate about skincare and retail management.

Currently, Kiehl's is looking to expand its team by hiring Business Managers who are energetic, self-motivated, and eager to develop their careers in the skincare industry. The role of the Business Manager is pivotal to the company's retail success, involving the leadership and management of a team of Kiehl's Customer Representatives (KCRs) to drive sales and deliver exceptional customer service. This position offers room for professional growth and the chance to work in a dynamic, engaging environment where innovation and customer connection are valued.

The Business Manager’s primary responsibility is to meet and exceed sales plans and key performance metrics. This involves clear daily communication of sales goals, KPIs, and promotional activities to the KCR team. The Business Manager leads by example, demonstrating expert knowledge of skincare products through hands-on demonstrations and superior customer service. Additionally, they are tasked with observing and coaching sales interactions to enhance team performance and improve customer engagement.

Another critical aspect of this role includes maintaining and overseeing the Customer Registry Program, a key tool in building lasting customer relationships and driving repeat business. The Business Manager plays an active role in motivating and training KCRs, attending seminars and management training meetings to stay updated on best practices and product knowledge.

Beyond in-store activities, the Business Manager is involved in outreach programs aimed at drawing new customers to the store. They also plan and execute incremental events designed to attract and engage potential clients. This combination of sales leadership, team development, and marketing initiatives makes the Business Manager role both challenging and rewarding.

Kiehl's offers competitive hourly wages ranging from $18 to $30, depending on location and experience, with the final pay rate determined by the retailer serving as the employer. This role typically requires the ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and some holidays. Kiehl's values diversity and is an equal opportunity employer, fostering an inclusive environment where all employees can thrive regardless of race, gender, age, or other protected statuses.
