This position offers an exciting opportunity to become a vital part of the Drury Hotels team by overseeing the daily operations of the hotel's complimentary 5:30 p.m. Kickback "happy hour." The role involves ensuring a warm, inviting atmosphere for guests while maintaining the highest standards of food preparation and hospitality. This includes managing the setup and cleanup of the food service area and keeping the kitchen and lobby clean and well-organized. A critical aspect of the job is to uphold strict food safety standards and manage inventory efficiently to ensure supplies are stocked appropriately. Employees in this role will serve as ambassadors of the Drury culture, providing exceptional customer service with a positive attitude and friendliness that enhance the guest experience. Additionally, this position requires employees to be knowledgeable about hotel accommodations, local attractions, and events, enabling them to assist guests with any questions and provide helpful information. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in hospitality or food service preferred
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and follow food safety protocols
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings
  • Friendly and energetic personality
  • Proficiency in English communication

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of hotel accommodations and services
  • Understanding of the local community and attractions
  • Ability to conduct accurate inventory and calculate food order levels
  • Strong communication skills with a warm and friendly manner
  • Ability to give and receive written and verbal directions in English

Job Duties

  • Make the complimentary 5:30 p.m. Kickback happy hour enjoyable for guests
  • Oversee the food preparation and cleanup during the Kickback
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and lobby area
  • Ensure food safety standards are met
  • Keep supplies fully stocked at appropriate levels
  • Provide exceptional, friendly guest service with a positive attitude
  • Answer guests questions regarding the hotel, local area, and events
