The Kalispel Golf & Country Club (KGCC) is an esteemed establishment operated by the Kalispel Tribe of Indians in Washington State. The offered position is a Restaurant Server role, which involves direct interaction with patrons in the dining room to enhance their dining experience. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about hospitality and customer service. The role requires one to three months of related experience or equivalent education and training. Responsibilities include greeting guests warmly, using the POS system efficiently, taking and serving orders in proper sequence, and maintaining a clean and organized workstation. Servers are expected to have solid knowledge of the menu and wine pairings to assist guests effectively. Additionally, they must handle payments accurately, maintain confidentiality regarding tips, and continuously provide attentive, friendly service. This is a non-supervisory role but requires strong teamwork skills to assist colleagues and ensure smooth operations. The work environment includes moderate noise levels and varying indoor and outdoor conditions, emphasizing physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 65 pounds. Staffing requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Additionally, all employees must undergo mandatory training and certification such as the Washington State Food Handler Permit and MAST certification, emphasizing safety and compliance.

Job Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Work Permit
- Washington State Food Handler Permit within 14 days of start date
- Hepatitis A vaccination
- Mandatory Alcohol Server Training (MAST) certification
- available and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays
- ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 65 pounds

Job Qualifications
- One to three months related experience and/or training helpful
- experience working as a waiter/waitress preferred
- excellent customer relations and customer service skills
- ability to handle cash and provide proper change
- skill in identifying and resolving problems under pressure
- ability to learn and operate the POS system
- high school diploma or GED preferred
Job Duties
- Ensure compliance with Kalispel Tribe of Indians Washington State regulations and KGCC policies and procedures
- use the POS system as trained
- greet guests in a friendly and upbeat manner
- explain daily specials and recommend appealing items
- take beverage orders and deliver while guests review menu
- take food orders in proper sequence by seat number
- serve orders with women served first
- clear dishes and glassware politely
- present guest check and explain the payment process
- collect payment and provide change
- provide constant, attentive, and friendly service
- educate guests on specials and answer questions
- be knowledgeable about wine and provide wine pairing advice
- communicate with supervisor to resolve guest questions timely
- keep payments orderly and neat
- sell and refill beverages including alcoholic drinks
- maintain assigned sections and workstations
- assist other servers to ensure teamwork
- complete side work promptly for cleanliness and supply levels
- maintain a clean and stocked server station
- perform necessary paper and bookwork at shift end
- relay complaints, problems, or positive remarks to shift supervisor
- maintain confidential daily tips record
- attend all training meetings
- assist in other projects as directed
- serve as a panelist for Internal Review board hearings if required
- adapt duties as needed
