The Event & Guest Services Manager role at the KFC Yum! Center is a critical position responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a wide variety of events including concerts, athletic competitions, family-oriented shows, conventions, and corporate functions. This role acts as the venue's primary on-site point of contact to ensure each event runs smoothly and successfully. The manager's duties include overseeing multiple departments, coordinating staff scheduling and communications, and ensuring readiness and compliance with venue rules and safety standards.
In addition to logistical management, the Event & Guest Services Manager collaborates closely with various stakeholders such as the University of Louisville for NCAA game preparations, finance teams for budgeting, and production teams for event layout and implementation planning. The position requires proactive problem solving to address and resolve any issues that arise during events, guaranteeing an excellent service experience for clients and guests.
This is a high-responsibility position that demands exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage several projects and priorities simultaneously. Effective communication, leadership, and conflict resolution are essential, as the manager also serves as an escalation point for guest inquiries and concerns. With requirements that include flexible availability to work multiple shifts, long hours, weekends, and holidays as needed, this role is suited for an individual prepared to engage in dynamic and fast-paced event environments.

Job Requirements
- Must hold a BA/BS degree
- Minimum of 5 years related experience
- Must be highly organized
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Must handle sensitive and confidential information
- Must be able to work multiple shifts, long hours, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to move quickly throughout the arena

Job Duties
- Serve as primary on-site point of contact to ensure successful event execution
- Develop understanding and coordinate among departmental policies and procedures
- Communicate with departments to inform staff of event needs
- Develop and update production notes and schedules
- Patrol and inspect the venue to ensure readiness and take corrective action
- Manage issues during events to maintain excellent client service
- Enforce venue rules, policies, and contractual obligations
- Collaborate with University of Louisville for NCAA game planning
- Work with Box Office and production teams on event layout
- Collaborate with finance to prepare cost estimates
- Compile and review management reports following events
- Coordinate first aid staffing with providers
- Create and submit staffing plans for guest services and security
- Serve as escalation point for guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints
- Enforce venue security policies and document incidents
- Provide training and guidance to guest services and security staff
