The Team Member role at KFC A&W is fundamentally important as these employees are the face of the restaurant. Team Members greet customers, take orders, prepare world-famous food, and ensure the restaurant environment is clean and inviting. This position involves welcoming customers both in-person and at the drive-thru, serving food with a positive attitude, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role involves multiple key responsibilities including problem-solving with minimal guidance, staying updated on training, working diligently to meet goals, demonstrating enthusiastic energy, and creating a welcoming restaurant atmosphere. Team Members must be organized, follow procedures closely, and maintain compliance with food safety standards. They are responsible for cooperating with co-workers, recognizing good performance, and helping to achieve daily restaurant and shift targets. The position requires physical stamina, including the ability to stand for most of the work shift, lift and carry moderate weights, and operate restaurant equipment safely.

Job Requirements

  • Arrive at work on time
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Follows procedures regarding operation of restaurant equipment including fryers, ovens, etc.
  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs and carry up to 30 feet
  • Able to push/pull up to 90 lbs up to 30 feet
  • Able to stand and walk for a majority of work shift
  • Follows restaurant cash handling safety and security procedures
  • Adheres to restaurant and city/state/united States safety requirements
  • Knowledge of and compliance with restaurant's human resources policies and processes

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous customer service experience an asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Basic math skills for handling cash and orders
