The company is currently seeking a Restaurant General Manager for one of its Chicago locations at 5852 S. Western Avenue. This is a full-time position offering an annual salary range of $60,000 to $70,000, depending on experience and skills. The role of Restaurant General Manager is essential for maintaining operational excellence and ensuring the success of the restaurant. Responsibilities include managing profitability through cash control, labor management, and inventory monitoring. You will be expected to recruit and hire team members and management staff, coach employees for operational excellence, conduct regular inventory counts, and maintain a welcoming and clean dining environment.

Job Requirements

  • At least one year of experience as a Restaurant General Manager in food service or retail, with profit and loss responsibility
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Availability to close the restaurant at least two nights a week
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand and walk for entire shifts, safely maneuver through compact spaces and operate restaurant equipment

Job Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience as a Restaurant General Manager in food service or retail, with profit and loss responsibility
  • Knowledge of fast food operations and management
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills
  • Ability to analyze financial reports and make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience coaching and developing staff
  • Understanding of inventory management and labor cost control

Job Duties

  • Drive profitability by managing cash control and security procedures, monitoring inventory, managing labor, reviewing financial reports and taking action as needed
  • Recruit, interview and hire team members, shift managers and assistant general managers
  • Coach and train employees in operational excellence to ensure restaurant success
  • Conduct inventory counts every other week
  • Maintain a clean restaurant and ensure every guest enjoys a friendly experience with a quality product
