The role of Restaurant General Manager at KBP Foods is a critical leadership position responsible for driving restaurant success through operational excellence, financial management, and team leadership. The Restaurant General Manager plays a pivotal role in implementing strategies to increase profitability, manage all aspects of the restaurant's operations, including cash control, inventory management, and labor cost control. They are directly accountable for recruiting, training, and mentoring team members and assistant managers to uphold the highest standards of customer service and operational efficiency.
A typical day for the Restaurant General Manager involves hands-on management, from conducting financial reviews and inventory counts to ensuring that the restaurant maintains cleanliness and delivers a quality guest experience. The manager is also charged with fostering a positive work culture by coaching employees and promoting operational excellence. Job Requirements
- At least one year of experience as a restaurant general manager in food service or retail with profit and loss responsibility
- must be at least 18 years old
- availability to close the restaurant at least two nights a week
- physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand and walk for entire shifts, safely maneuver through compact spaces, and operate restaurant equipment
