The Key Holder role at Kahoots is designed for positive and focused leaders committed to maintaining the highest standards in store operations and customer service. Key Holders act as pillars of the team, ensuring that the store delivers an outstanding shopping experience to every customer. This position involves a full-time schedule, typically requiring 40 hours per week in shifts of about eight hours, including evenings and weekends. Candidates must have at least two years of supervisory experience and be adept at coaching and training employees with clarity and positivity. As a key point of contact in the store, the Key Holder must foster an environment where team members can succeed and thrive, serving as a reliable resource to peers and representing Kahoots’ core values in all interactions.
Responsibilities extend to acting on behalf of store management in their absence, making decisions that uphold the store’s service standards and operational efficiency. Key Holders must thrive in an environment centered on customer service and sales, showcasing a passion for pet care products and the ability to educate both customers and staff about them. While bilingual abilities are a plus, the pivotal skills lie in leadership, communication, and a genuine enthusiasm for helping customers provide the best care for their pets. Physically, the role requires stamina and strength, as the job involves standing and walking for many hours, occasional bending, twisting, climbing ladders, and handling weightlifting tasks of 40 pounds or more during the day.
