The role of Marketing & Sales Events Coordinator at Kennywood and Sandcastle Water Park is vital to the execution and success of the parks’ marketing initiatives. This position is responsible for supporting the coordination and execution of a variety of events and activations handled by the Group Sales and Marketing teams. The Coordinator ensures smooth operation during these events by managing logistical details, collaborating closely with park operations staff, and addressing any issues that arise promptly. This role demands strong organizational skills, flexibility to work holidays and weekends, and the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced setting. The ideal candidate will have a proactive mindset, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional experiences that align with the Herschend family’s dedication to hospitality and guest satisfaction. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in event coordination or marketing is preferred
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

- hours will include weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Manage event and activation operations for scheduled in-park events at Kennywood and Sandcastle Water Park
- Ensure effective communication and coordination with park operations teams to deliver best in class pre day of and post event execution
- Manage multiple events simultaneously making rapid adjustments as required to ensure event success in a fast-paced environment
- Be knowledgeable of all events going on throughout the parks at all times in order to efficiently represent the marketing and sales division
- Proactively handle any arising issues and troubleshoot any emerging problems during all events
- Function as the on-site contact to clients and guests for all aspects of their events
- Ensure all events are executed to company specifications and standards including event space setup, food and beverage service, attractions, and decor
- Enforce all park policies and procedures and maintain all company standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
